Providing housing for those who cannot afford it is just the first step.  We are committed to facing ALL common obstacles associated with higher education head on with each of our students. Todays students are struggling to cover tuition costs – sometimes with excessive borrowing – and cannot maintain this up for the length of college.  Our  financial aid is provided to meet the rising costs of tuition and academic fees.

However, housing and tuition are far from the only reason students fail in college.   Current research points to a very alarming trend that is causing seemingly impossible obstacles and this stems from the alarming rise in unrecognized and untreated emotional and mental challenges in our society today. These Problems have been largely ignored in the college setting and this is having disastrous results. Our experts spend time everyday in the place where students live to empower them to meet and overcome some powerful challenges.  Consider these statistics:

  • Depression rates have more than doubled since 1995. ·
  • One-third of Americans suffer from an anxiety disorder.
  • 21.5 million Americans reported battling a substance addiction last year alone.
  • 70 percent of adults have experienced some type of traumatic event at least once in their lives, which consistently causes disruptions in life.
  • From 1985 to 2015, the rate of learning disabilities doubled.
  • In 1999, autism rates averaged 1 in 500. In 2014, the average increased to 1 in 68.
